Summary[edit]
DescriptionAfghan Forces graduate from IED-Defeat-EOD training 111215-N-CB888-005.jpg |
English: An Afghan National Army soldier proudly displays his certificate during a graduation ceremony held at the Afghan National Army Engineer School near Camp Spann, Dec. 15. Fifteen Afghan servicemen graduated in the ceremony and can now wear the Explosive Ordnance Disposal patch and badge after completing 22 weeks of intensive EOD and Improvised Explosive Device Defeat training. The Engineer School is the only one in Afghanistan that teaches the fundamentals of EOD and IEDD to Afghan National Security Forces. International Security Assistance Force Regional Command North supports Afghan National Security Forces in close coordination and collaboration in providing security and disrupting the insurgents' activities in order to protect the population, secure the highways and support the Afghan Border Patrol operations in the border areas and crossing points in order to set the conditions for economic, social and cultural development in key terrain districts. |
