| Description |
English: Agricultural workers' cottages Early in the 20th century it was realised that most of the farm workers' hovels were in a poor state of repair. With the formation of local government and the understanding of the strategic importance of a nations' capability to grow its own food several waves of rural "social" housing construction took place. Since the right-to-buy initiatives at the end of that century without replacing the pool housing we are now in a similar position as we had a century ago. |
