The original finding aid described this as: The obverse and reverse contain information about what NASA scientists with the Earth Observing System and the Earth Science Enterprise are doing to study and understand the atmosphere. Colorful and instructional satellite images, graphs, and pictures complement the fact-filled information. Classroom exercises are included. Some of the topics covered include anatomy of a heat wave, smoke and haze over Southern Africa, ozone depletion, carbon monoxide, cloud types, Earth's radiation components, global temperature, layers of the atmosphere, and carbon dioxide levels.
