STUDYING AN EXPLANATION Tit-tat-toe Tit-tat-toe is an Indian game, and is played withgrains of Indian corn. A piece of board is grooved with a jackknife in themanner shown in the dia-gram. One player has three redor yellow grains of corn,and the other an equal num-ber of white ones. Theplayer who won the lastgame has the go — thatis, he first puts down a grainof corn at any place where the lines intersect, butusually in the middle, as that is the best point. Thenthe other player puts down one, and so on until allare down.
