Summary
[edit]DescriptionAlfa Romeo 75 (Milano) (16054154045).jpg |
This is a pretty rare sight in the USA. Alfa Romeo officially entered the US market in 1961 and left in 1995, a year in which it managed to sell just over 500 cars. Alfa had spent the last several years struggling to gain a foothold in the states and failing - the 164 would be its last offering to the American market. The 75 (called the Milano in the States) preceded the 164 and was a success internationally, with just under 390,000 built between 1985 and 1992. Alfa made a cameo return in 2007 with the Alfa Romeo 8C, an exotic with a limited production run (about 90 ended up in the USA). Alfa Romeo made a proper re-entry to the American market with the 4C in 2013, the first mass produced Alfa Romeo to be sold in the states since the 164. |
