  • 1998 Charles E. Peterson Prize, Entry
  • Significance: It was built in 1905. 34 feet long and 16 feet wide, it is raised some 4 feet above track level to facilitate loading coal into the engine tenders from a second passing siding. The construction has 5"x10" and 5"x8" heavy timbers bolted together to support a 3" thick plank floor.
