| Description |
English: Alrewas Lock No 12, Trent and Mersey Canal in Staffordshire. A narrowboat is in the lock. In a minute or so the bottom gates will be opened, and the boat will proceed into the river Trent. The large sign to the right warns navigators that the river must not be entered when it is in flood, and that caution should be applied at all other times. 1563882 |
