VEGETABLE NOVELTIES FOR 1886. BEANS, DWARF WAX.—Princess Bismark.—New Stringless Wax Bean, forming a loose bush pro- fusely laden with thick golden yel- low pods. The seeds in the dry state are white, of oval form, and somewhat larger than the small Pearl Bean : the pods are very ten- der and perfectly stringless, there- fore an excellent variety for pre- serving. Price per packet (about 3 oz.) ,50 BEANS.—Cleveland's Improved Round Pod Talentine.—This im- proved Valentine is ten days earliei^ than the old variety ; it is much more prolific, and still retains in greatest perfection all the points which have made the Valentine bean so popular. It is not claim- ed that it is the earliest known to the trade. It is generally cultiva- ted for its tender, fleshy pods, which remain long on the plant without becoming hard and tough. Packets, pints 25c. Half-iDints, 15c. Pecks, $1.50 Bushel, 5.00 €riant White Sword Pole Bean—This is the most tender and prolific bean in cultivation, producing in abundance beans from 6 to 12 inches in length, of a dark green color, and excellent in fiavor. Packets, 10c. Pints, 35c. Quarts, 60c. Lima Bean, King- of the Grarden.— This new variety produces pods from 5 to 8 inches long, containing from 4 to 7 beans in each pod. It is undeniably a great improve- ment, and excels any other sort for prolificness. Packets, 15c. Pints, 35c. Quarts, 60c. Pecks, $4.00
