A very attractiveware is enamel. Its pure white finishgives it a clean look. It has practically superseded the old crock jar, and itsadvantage over it is undeniable. Stone crocks, no matter how wellmade, absorb moisture, rendering themunfit for a storage place for viands.The enamel pail with its close fittingcover is an admirable receptacle forbutter. The quart size costs 35 cents. The measuring saucer which is adapt-able for any number of purposes is anaccessory to the scales. It costs five orten cents, according to size. There is nodoubt that agate and nickel wares area vast improvement over the oldtimehardware. The kitchen of today with its up-to-date equipment is a place that everyhousekeeper loves to work in. Itsmany pots and kettles, its shiny shelvesof ware all lend themselves to makingthis part of the house attractive. It isby contrasting the kitchens of the oldendays with those in modern homes thathat we realize what the twentieth cen-tury has done to this part of the house.
