kitchen opening into thehall, they are completely shut off from the rest of the house.In most bungalows, these rooms are made to open directlyoff the living-room. Two dear little evergreen trees, rather a relief from theusual bay, flank the front entrance on either side, seemingtaller than in reality because of the deep concrete potswhich hold them. The large front porch and terrace have reinforced con-crete floors and window boxes along the sides filled withGeraniums and trailing creepers, while Roses climb on trel-lises against the concretewalls, all of which give abright and cheery look beck-oning on the inside. All the windows are case-ment, affording the maxi-mum of sunlight and air.The front entrance is directlyinto the living-room, witha coat closet in the small hallopening off the right of theliving-room.
