Também conhecida por Anta da Pedra da Orca ou Anta do Rio Torto, este monumento megalítico situa-se em Rio Torto, no concelho de Gouveia, junto à Estrada Nacional 17. Já em 1895, alguns anos após se ter denotado a sua possível importância, que se investigou e estudou a área onde esta imponente Anta se situa, encontrando-se várias pontas de seta de sílex e de quartzo, contas, um vaso de argila, diversos fragmentos cerâmicos e ossos humanos. A Anta, de dimensões consideráveis, será datada de finais do período Neolítico, sendo composta por câmara sepulcral de planta poligonal, com cerca de três metros e meio de diâmetro, com o respectivo corredor de acesso, mantendo ainda a laje de cobertura, ou "chapéu", não se detectando, no entanto, quaisquer vestígios da mamoa que cobriria originalmente todo o monumento. www.guiadacidade.pt/pt/poi-anta-da-orca-16996 |
