Summary[edit]

Description

Anthracophyllum archeri (Berk.) Pegler,

Image location: Yarrahapinni State Forest, North of Grassy Head, New South Wales, Australia

Looks a little like Anthracophyllum archeri (Berk.) Pegler, but the folded edge of the cap is slightly different . The cap also is tending to be more round than expected, showing an “Orange Peel” effect.. The colour of the cap is a bright orange. Not sure if all this is due to the younger stage of maturity. Growing on wood in Eucalyptus Rain-forest in complete shade under a full canopy. Recent heavy rainfall.

Recognized by sight: I think the inrolled edge is due to being young
