| Description |
English: Aqueduct over Duke's Drive. This photograph shows the top of the attractive aqueduct which carried the Shrewsbury and Newport Canal over Duke's Drive. (see 250050). This aqueduct was wantonly and unnecessarily bulldozed a few years later. The disused canal just here was a favourite breeding-place for the Common Toad (Bufo bufo). |
