Summary[edit]

Description
Commissioned by Papàs Gjergji Schirò (1907-1992) in the 1960s, the two-headed eagle is the heraldic symbol of the Byzantine Empire, reminiscent of the membership "Arbëreshë" (Albanian of Italy) to the Christian faith of the Orthodox tradition and is the national symbol of the Albanians.
