Of Sandys children, the most known was Edwin, aleader in the Parliamentary Army. He died after woundsreceived in the Battle of Worcester. His sonRichard was also a Colonel in the Parliamentary Army,and in 1647 became Governor of the Bermuda Company. The estate subsequently passed into the hands of hisgrandson Sir K.
