Architect The remodeled and enlarged El Rancho Sacra-mento is situated on National Highway No. 99, onemile out of the city of Sacramento. The site extendsfor 736 feet along the highway and runs to a depthof 800 feet. The administration building, includinglobby, dining room, cocktail lounge and enclosedswimming pool, is reached by a broad drive infrom the highway. Wide covers extend over the twoentrances, one on each side of the trademarkfeature, the water tower and windmill. Guest bungalows form a wide border to exten-sive lawns, plantings and driveways. Newly addedare fifty-six guest room units in a second borderand space is allowed for some seventy futurerooms. The windmill trademark is visible for a great distance from both directions on the highway aswell as from the swimming pool court inside. Ex-terior walls of the main building feature naturalstone.
