September. 1922.PHILADELPHIA has the honor of1 being the first city in this countryto purchase radium for the treatment ofneoplastic disease in a municipal hospi-tal. The staff of this radiological clinicconsists of a dermatologist, surgeon,urologist. gynecologist, radiologist,laryngologist, oral surgeon, internist,pathologist. physician. and seniorassistant medical officer. The staff with all its assistants holdsa regular staff meeting weekly. F.achchief has a designated hour for con-ducting his clinic when all treatmentsare given and return cases examined. Two visiting physicians are in gen-eral charge, one in charge of diagnos-tic work and one in charge of therapy.A full time radiologist with his assistantfollows up the treatment and supervisesdressings.
