Gallery of versions
[edit]- The original version (first thumbnail in the gallery below) is incorrectly oriented according to the direction of the North and common maps.
- The image visible above (second thumbnail in the gallery below) has been created from the original version by resizing it at 400% scale (in Paint.Net), before enlarging with large white margins, rotating it 45 degrees anticlockwise (using the Rotate/Zoom+ plugin for Paint.Net), without cropping any part of the original image, then the excess white margins have been cropped; the remaining corners visible here in this version are left all solid white (because JPEG images cannot be transparent, white if the best color that avoids artefacts.
- A derived version was then created by filling the remaining white parts in the corner with the sea colors and patterns along the border of the rectangle visible here, then patterns have been slightly randomized along the border to avoid the border to be visible, and create a natural look. Nothing in the central part of the image, and in most parts of the remaining sea, has been touched in the third version and then cropping a part of corners in the real sea. The zoom level level at 400% was kept as it avoid scaling down an image that may be scaled up again by browsers, creating possible artefacts.
