Description
English: In 1649, one year after the Peace of Westphalen, Joan Blaeu (1596-1673) published an atlas with cities and fortifications in the Southern and Northern Netherlands. Included in these Town Books of the Netherlands was this map of 's-Hertogenbosch which was created at the time of the siege and conquest of the city by Frederik Hendrik in 1629. The unknown engraver of this map shows in detail the fortifications and military troops around the city.
