Nederlands: In deze prent worden in twee stroken verschillende scenes uit de Slag bij Nieuwpoort op 2 juli 1600 afgebeeld. Hier stonden een Spaans leger onder Albertus van Oostenrijk en een Nederlands leger

onder leiding van Prins Maurits (1584-1625) tegen over elkaar. Het Nederlandse leger zegenvierde. De prent komt voor in het tweede deel van het stedenboek van Joan Blaeu (1596-1673) uit

1649.
English: This print in two parts depicts several scenes from the Battle of Nieuwpoort at 2 July 1600. The Spanish troops, led by Albertus of Austria and the Dutch army, led by Prince Maurits, confronted each other. The Dutch army won. The print appears in the second volume of Joan Blaeus (1596-1673) Town Books of the Netherlands from 1649.
