Deutsch: Erna Irene Falk geb. Cohn (*30.09.1904). Erna Cohn besuchte nach der Volksschule und dem Lyceum in Attendorn die Frauenfachschule in Olpe und bestand 1925 die Prüfung als Kindergärtnerin. Im Mai 1935 zog sie mit ihrer Mutter nach Münster. Dort lernte Erna Cohn ihren künftigen Mann kennen. Sie heiratete am 24. Januar 1938 den Kaufmann Richard Falk aus Beckum. Am 12. Dezember 1938 wird die Tochter Reha (Rahel) Mathel in Münster geboren. Die junge Familie erhielt 1939 die Erlaubnis nach England auszuwandern. Richard Falk wanderte nach England aus und starb dort 1962. Erna Falk folgte ihrem Mann nicht nach England, sondern blieb mit ihrer kleinen Tochter bei ihrer an Krebs erkrankten Mutter. Nach deren Tod im Jahr 1941 hatte sie keine Möglichkeit mehr, Deutschland zu verlassen. Sie kam mit ihrer Tochter nach Hopsten (Kreis Borken) in ein sog. Judenhaus und wurde von dort ebenso wie ihre Schwester, zuerst in das Ghetto Theresienstadt und dann nach Auschwitz verschleppt, wo sie ermordet wurden. |
