Deutsch: Martha Ursell geb. Kahn (*10.08.1878). Sie war seit 1913 mit dem Fabrikant Julius Ursell verheiratet. Mit ihren drei Kindern wohnten sie zunächst am heutigen Südwall in Attendorn, bevor sie 1925 in ihr neu erbautes Haus am Waldenburger Weg (Villa Zion) zogen. Die drei Kinder konnten mit einem Kindertransport nach England dem Naziterror entkommen. Julius Ursell starb überraschend früh am 22. Februar 1936 auf einer Geschäftsreise in Brüssel. Dort hatte er versucht die Firma A.A. Ursell zu verkaufen. Seine Urne wurde auf dem jüdischen Friedhof in Attendorn beigesetzt. Martha Ursell, nun Gesellschafterin der Firma, entschloss sich nach dem Novemberpogrom 1938 zur Auswanderung und verkaufte ihre Villa. Sie wohnte in Wuppertal-Elberfeld und in Berlin bei ihrer Schwester. Durch den Kriegsausbruch wurde die Auswanderung jedoch unmöglich. In Berlin wurde sie zur Zwangsarbeit in einem Rüstungsbetrieb zur Herstellung von Ketten und Panzern zwangsverpflichtet. Am 28. März 1942 dann von der Gestapo verhaftet und in das Ghetto Piaski deportiert und dort ermordet. |
