Description Augsburger Wunderzeichenbuch, folio 87f. German text. Translation into English: "In the year 1483 locusts swarmed in Italy, laid waste to the district around Brixen, and if Margrave Louis of Mantua had not prevented it they would have destroyed all the crops in Lombardy. He had them killed, burned or chased away. Afterwards, a darkening of the sun was seen and then came a great dying, so that more than twenty thousand people died in Brixen and around thirty thousand died in Venice."
