uch a simplemanner that I am sure you can all understand,and by the time we are ready for our nextschool term you will know something of thehabits and appearance of our ordinary birds,and how to distinguish them. I think all children love birds but, as arule, the many books which have been writtenon this subject are filled with such hard names AUNT MAYS BIRD TALKS. and long words that your little brain growstired trying to understand them. I am goingto use the simplest language possible, andwhen you do not quite follow me, I want youto ask as many questions as you please. Oh, how nice ! cried the children. Andmay we begin to-morrow ? asked Marguerite. Yes, said Aunt May, and as you are theoldest you shall make the first selection. I want to hear about the ■ Robin thatwears a red bib on his breast, Aunt May,answered Marguerite. Very well, said Auntie, run out and playwhile I interview your mamma on the subjectof cookies and sandwiches for to-morrow, whenwe shall begin our bird talks.
