English: Un denier en argent de Conan IV, duc de Bretagne de 1158 à 1169

A/ + CONANVS Croix pattée R/ + BRITANNIE (e lunaire) DVX dans le champ

Belle monnaie, ayant sans doute peu circulée. Conan est un duc soumit à l’autorité de Henri II Plantagenêt. Il récupère son titre avec l’aide de Henri II et le perd en 1169 au profit de sa fille Constance mariée à Geoffroy Plantagenêt fils de Henri II. De toute façon, depuis 1167, Henri II administre le duché.
