Summary[edit]

Description This Volunteer, who earned a degree in biology from Dartmouth before his service, set up a pilot project that made citrus growing a profitable industry in Dahomey (now called Benin). He also worked on an essential oils program in which the aromatic oil is extracted from the skin of oranges and lemons and sold to perfume and flavor making companies.
