Summary
[edit]DescriptionBSC Moss Bay, rolling mill - geograph.org.uk - 1739640.jpg |
English: BSC Moss Bay, rolling mill The mill that was driven by the last working steam rolling mill in a British steel works. This works specialised in rails. Iron making on site had not long been discontinued and we saw the boiler plant and power house with the turbo-blowers for the blast furnaces and a Parsons 15 MW turbo-alternator set. I very foolishly didn't take any pictures of the power house or boilers (you live and learn - I wonder what I'm not photographing today that I will regret in 20+ years). |
