Ticket Inspection on EnglishRailroads A^ RECENT resolution arrived at bythe railroad companies of GreatBritain to enforce all passengersto exhibit their contract and com-mutation tickets while traveling—a prac-tice not strictly adhered to in formertimes—will result in the introduction of anew shape of ticket, the size and shape of ahalf dollar, on the London and SouthWestern Railway. The disc will be enclosed in a micacovering with a metal case, leaving thelettering on the ticket plainly visible.The outer case is designed for attachmentto a watch chain or hand bag, or it maybe worn as a wristlet or badge. We surmise that the reason for this isexplained by the recently issued restric-tions in regard to unnecessary travel onthe English railroads. Another naturalconclusion would be that the frequent in-spection of the tickets will help decreasethe spy menace.
