Summary
[edit]DescriptionBass Lane - geograph.org.uk - 403784.jpg |
English: Bass Lane Locally known as B*****d Lane it is used as a short cut between the A56 and Summerseat.
The narrow single track lane with passing places every 150 yards is also used as a short cut to and from the M66. During rush hour periods it becomes very congested causing tail backs to the M66 exit at junction 1 in the evening. In the picture above the Range Rover has had to reverse 150 yards back up to a passing place to let the traffic coming up from Summerseat get through.
