| Description |
English: Battle of Worcester - Meadows beside the River Severn On these fields on 3rd September the Scots army of King Charles II was defeated by the Parliamentary forces led by Oliver Cromwell.
The Monarch's Way follows the route of the king as he fled the country after the battle. The Scots army fared less well with 3000 killed and 7000 captured, many of whom were later deported. |
