| Description |
English: Beech trees on sheepfold. The stone circle of the sheepfold below Kittuck Meads has turned into a ring of beech trees. http://webapp1.somerset.gov.uk/her/details.asp?prn=33050 states that it was "constructed shortly after 1878 following the loss of many sheep in severe snowstorms". It stands just south of 496569, in between the Chalk Water (beyond it) and the unnamed combe in the foreground. A wall-like outcrop of rock runs across the ridge on the right. The path on the left is heading for the footbridge shown in 496569. |
