ss beide Herde in enger Verbindungstehen. Es wird sich ausserdem die Behauptung Oseretzkowskys (Beiträge zur Fragevom centralen Verlauf der Gehörnerven, Arch. f. mikr. Anat., Bd. 45, 1895) bewahr-heiten, welcher versichert, dass bei den Säugern die Striae medulläres directe Faserndes Cochlearis enthalten, welche, nachdem sie um den Pedunculus cerebelli inferiorherumgezogen sind, in der oberen Olive enden sollen. Wir müssen jedoch erwähnen,dass wir bei der neugeborenen Maus diese directe Verbindung zwischen Cochlearisund Olive nicht constatiren konnten; wenn sie existirt, vollzieht sie sich wahrschein-lich vermittelst der Verlängerung der absteigenden Bifurkationsäste der Cochlearisfasern. Ventraler Kern des Acusticus. 79 ebenfalls mittelst verzweigter Collateralen statt, welche das Ursprungs-stück schliesslich bis auf ein kleines Aestchen, das seinerseits wie eineCollaterale sich verzweigt, reduciren. Einige Cochlearisfasern senden, wie Held beobachtet hat, vor ihrer Fig. 21.

Man kann an demselben zweiEegionen unterscheiden: vordere Eegion oder Kopf und hintere Regionoder Schwanz. 30 XI. Xervas cochlearis und acastische Kerne. Die vordere Region enthält ausser derben Bündeln von Cochlearis-fasern grosse, mehr oder weniger sphärische Zellen, deren Reichthum anProtoplasmafortsätzen zunimmt, je weiter nach hinten die genanntenZellen liegen.
