Steel lockers, which can beeasily moved when the center of ac-tivities changes, are placed at eachselected location, and stocked withpredetermined types and quantities ofstation supplies. Both installers andrepairmen use the same lockers, asmuch of the material used by thesetwo force groups is identical. In the downtown section of a typi-cal large city operating under thisplan, there will be about 20 lockerlocations serving about 160 walkinginstallers and repairmen. These mensecure their supplies for each job fromthe nearest locker.
