| Description |
English: Belsay Castle Belsay Castle is a dramatic 14th century fortified building dating from more troublesome times in the Borders Belsay_Castle. When peace descended on the area, the Middleton family moved out of the castle into a modern wing (towards camera) which dates from the 17th and 18th centuries. The Castle was abandoned in the early 19th century with the construction of Belsay Hall Belsay_Hall nearby. |
