| Description |
English: Bench mark on Settle bridge This bench mark and bolt is on the north west pier of the bridge, south west face, and was used during the First Primary Levelling, England & Wales 1840-1860. It seems unusual in that the horizontal line is through the middle of the arrow with the bolt in the centre. Unlike the flush bracket on the bridge, that is visible from the road, this mark can only be seen from the footpath down to the riverside. |
