Thepeople there are so big that we look like grasshoppers besidethem. And they frightened Israel from going up. Thepeople began to cry and complain all that night. Joshuaand Caleb tried in vain to quiet them. Then said God to Moses: As I live, all of you that aretwenty years old and over shall never come into the Prom-ised Land except Joshua and Caleb. But your little childrenwill I bring in. For forty years you shall wander aroundin this wilderness.It happened just so.God keeps His word. Num. 13, lb.
