This acid is found in oakand hemlock bark, and also in that ofmany other trees such as willow, ash,larch, sumac, and terra japonica. Teais one-fourth tannic acid. Seal skin makes a superiorkind of enamelled leather for boots,bags, dressing-cases, and ornamentalarticles.
