Summary

[edit]
Description
English: Bloomsbury: Lamb's Conduit Street, WC1 Lamb's Conduit Street derives its name from one William Lamb, an ancient cloth worker, who erected a water conduit along its length in 1577. The conduit was taken down in 1746. In the reign of Queen Anne Lamb's Conduit Fields formed a favourite promenade for the citizens of London. Today it is largely pedestrianized with many street cafes.
