| Description |
English: Bog and heather Much of Cefn Du consists of ancient Pre-Cambrian rock which provide only thin acidic soils. These are generally waterlogged, particularly in hollows and depressions which are invariably boggy. The vegetation in these bogs consists mostly of a reddish coloured grass. The drier areas support mainly heather. At one time Cefn Du was an important grouse shooting moor. |
