| Description |
English: Bognor Regis Pier November 2008 Bognor Regis Pier is in rather a sorry state. It is also much reduced in length, as bits have collapsed or been demolished in recent decades. It originally opened in 1865 and has had several changes of ownership. It is a Grade II listed structure but attempts to raise money to renovate it have so far been unsuccessful. It has also at times attracted the attention of local arsonists, as piers often seem to do. There is sadly a real danger the pier may not survive if money cannot be found to reverse its decline. |
