English: Born of a Dream is an original 2003 musical written and performed by members of the United States Air Force Band. The musical was created to celebrate the Centennial of Flight and honor the accomplishments of the airmen who had served throughout the history of the Air Force. Set in the fictitious town of Wrightsville, where a celebration of the Centennial of Flight is taking place, the musical follows young "big city" reporter Scott Gibson on his journey from skeptic to dreamer. Guided by local newspaper editor Emma Parker, and through the colorful stories told by Wrightsville's citizens as they celebrate, Gibson discovers that mankind's dream to fly transcends anything he ever imagined.
