Summary[edit]
DescriptionBridge Over Former Mineral Railway - geograph.org.uk - 589484.jpg |
English: Bridge Over Former Mineral Railway. Although similar to Stephen's photo of the same bridge taken in April 396409 I have included this to give some idea of the growth in vegetation over the summer. Indeed an idential shot from Stephen's position would show very little of the bridge. The railway operated from 1857 to 1885 and serviced the Ailesbury mines in Scugdale supplying ore to Stockton ironworks. |
