| Description |
English: Bridge over Hutton Beck There are three wide, low arched bridges like this in the village.
Until the late 1960s the small streams were crossed by fords - which could be dangerous or impassable in times of flood - despite the limited volume of the stream for most of the year. The stonework in all three is merely a facade, underneath is constructed from concrete shuttering and beams. |
