Description
Français : Bulbe de lest du Pen Duick II. Noter la forme typique en corps de moindre traînée en couche limite turbulente (d'élancement 3,3, ce qui n'est pas l'optimum pour un corps de volume donné). Ce bulbe fut d'abord réalisé en uranium appauvri mais les plaintes de concurrents le firent changer en plomb.
English: Pen Duick II ballast. Note the typical shape in the body of least drag in turbulent boundary layer (slenderness 3.3, which is not the optimum for a body of given volume). This bulb was first made of depleted uranium but the complaints of competitors made it change to lead.
