Feingeschicbteter, sandiger, griinlicb-graucr Tbon mit sul)fossilen Cardium edule und Tellina baltica. c. wie &, aber sebr viele woblerbaltene Scbalen jener Muscbeln entbaltend. d. Uumittelbar unter c der scliwarzbraune Holztorf d, mit Aststlickeu von Pinus und Pflaiizenabdriicken. Sicbtbare Macbtigkeit 2 Fuss. Als icb diesen Strand im Mai 1874 wieder be- sucbte, fand icb die Uferscbicbten durcb die Sturm- fiutbeu des Winters von 1873 auf 1874, sebr stark benagt. Die Wellen batten gewaltige Massen binweg- gerissen und die Torfscbicbten auf weite Strecken blossgelegt. Da sab man denn, dass die Scbiclit d des Profils Fig. 6 scbwacb gefà ltelt ist. An einigen Stellen lag sie 7 bis 9 Fuss iiber dem Meeresspiegel, an an- dern im Niveau des Meeres, so dass die Wellen liber sie bingingen, wie z. B. bei Fig. 6. Bei dem Landungsplatze Kram-valgum war der Durcbscbnitt Fig. 7 blossgelegt. a. Horizontal-gescliichteter Diinensand 7 Fuss mach- tig. b. Scbwarzer, weicber Torf, braunkoblenartig â 2 Fuss mâcbtig. In ibm Stiimme von Pinus auf- recbt auf ibren Wurzeln stebend. Die Stamme bis 3 Fuss im Durcbmesser und 1 bis 2 Fuss uber den Wurzeln abgebrocben. Das Holz braun verrottet, weich, zerfasert. c.
