Autorenkonferenz des Mitteldeutschen Verlages in Bitterfeld
Unter der Losung "Greif zur Feder Kumpel, die sozialistische Nationalkultur braucht dich" wurde am 24.4.1959 im Kulturpalast des EKB Bitterfeld eine Autorenkonferenz des Mitteldeutschen Verlages Halle eröffnet. An ihr nahmen fast 300 "schreibende Arbeiter" und etwa 150 Schriftsteller aus der DDR teil. Mit herzlichem Beifall begrüßten die Konferenzteilnehmer in ihrer Mitte den 1. Sekretär des ZK der SED, Walter Ulbricht.
