English: Buoy at Half Way Point to Hilbre Island This buoy is used by the RNLI at Hoylake Lifeboat Station. It sits halfway between Red Rocks and Hilbre Island. The Red Rocks Nursing Home and Lighthouse (being renovated at the time this photo was taken)are visible. This is a dangerous place to be if the tide as coming in as the water fills the deep channels around the buoy first. You can be quickly cut off from both Hilbre and Red Rocks. |
