Summary
[edit]DescriptionByway near Buckholt Farm - geograph.org.uk - 479130.jpg |
English: Byway near Buckholt Farm This byway from Buckholt Farm, looking eastwards, goes down and then up the sides of a broad dry chalk valley to reach the south-eastern end of Broughton Down at a height of 138m. The path is also the route of the Monarch's Way and Clarendon Way long distance footpaths. Halfway, the path crosses another byway that comes down from Whiteshoot Hill in the north, and beyond that just south of the path is a spot called Cold Harbour, which is the site of a 16th century glassworks. |
