Français : Les anciennes communes de Billens et Hennens ont fusionné en 1998. Les deux communes avaient déjà une barre oblique dans les armoiries, ce qui suggérait une création d'arme à partir des éléments des deux anciens armoiries.
Deutsch: Die ehemaligen Gemeinden Billens und Hennens fusionierten im Jahr 1998. Beide Gemeinden führten bereits einen Schrägbalken im Wappen, was eine Wappenneuschöpfung aus den Elementen beider ehemaligen Wappen nahelegte.
