English: Sgt. William Patrick supervises Marines and Sailors with Combat Logistics Battalion 7 during a non-infantry basic machine gunners’ course qualification from Jan. 25-29, 2016. CLB-7 is required to provide combat logistics support to infantry units in any environment in order to allow them to prepare for and sustain combat operations. The course provides and instills skills needed throughout its training days. Lance Cpl. Justin Perkins a native of Missoula, Montana, said the machine gunners’ course teaches non-infantry Marines the proper tactics, techniques and procedures to effectively operate machine guns used in combat. "We take classes on four different types of machine guns," Perkins said. "And I have to say, the M240B is by far my favorite.” Patrick is a fire support man with 1st Marine Logistics Group and Perkins is a combat engineer with CLB-7. (U.S Marine Corps photo by Cpl.
